Pilgrimage

OUR PILGRIMAGE TO GLASTONBURY TOR

On Thursday, all the year 6 students (including myself) went on a pilgrimage up Glastonbury Tor. We went with Miss Fishlock and Mrs Ebdon and travelled by minibus. Lots of other Catholic schools were there and we were all there to celebrate the Year of Mercy. When we arrived, the minibus parked at the church where we had a drink and a biscuit. Then we had a short service, where we put our candle drawings around the altar. After that we set off on our walk. It was hard work, but eventually we reached the summit of the Tor. Firstly we had to find 3 students from different schools. After that we said the Lord’s Prayer. Then we walked back to the church for lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and I also made some new friends.
